Diplomatic passport application requirements
Diplomatic passport for adults (18 years and over)
- Form A filled in.
- Form A to be endorsed by MFET Permanent Secretary
- Payment voucher issued by MFET
- Original and valid ID card.
- If applicant resides abroad and does not hold a valid Maltese ID card, Section 7 on Form
A to be filled in, signed, and stamped by a recommender and 1 passport photo endorsed
by the same recommender.
- Previous Diplomatic passport if applicable.
- If previous Diplomatic passport has been lost while still valid, an original Police report is
required.
Diplomatic passport for minors (14 years to 17 years)
- Form A filled in.
- Form A to be endorsed by MFET Permanent Secretary
- Payment voucher issued by MFET
- Applicant’s valid and original ID card.
- If applicant resides abroad and does not hold a valid Maltese ID card, a passport photo
endorsed by a recommender is required.
- Section 6 on Form A to be signed by both parents’ and the same recommender.
- Section 7 on Form a to be filled in, signed, and stamped by the same recommender.
- Both parents valid and original ID cards or passports.
- If applicant resides abroad and does not hold a valid Maltese ID card, Section 7 on Form
A to be filled in, signed, and stamped by a recommender and 1 passport photo endorsed
by the same recommender.
- Previous Diplomatic passport if applicable.
- If previous Diplomatic passport has been lost while still valid, an original Police report is
required.
- Minor must be present at our office accompanied by one or both parents.
Diplomatic passport for minors (6 years to 13 years)
- Form A filled in.
- Form A to be endorsed by MFET Permanent Secretary
- Payment voucher issued by MFET
- 1 passport photo endorsed by a recommender.
- Section 6 on Form A to be signed by both parents’ and the same recommender.
- Section 7 on Form a to be filled in, signed, and stamped by the same recommender.
- Both parents valid and original ID cards or passports.
- Previous Diplomatic passport if applicable.
- If previous Diplomatic passport has been lost while still valid, an original Police report is
required.
- Minor must be present at our office accompanied by one or both parents.
Diplomatic passport for minors (0 to 5 years)
- Form A filled in.
- Form A to be endorsed by MFET Permanent Secretary
- Payment voucher issued by MFET
- 2 passport photos, one of which must be endorsed by a recommender. The photo must
be printed on good quality. With high resolution on white background. The minor must be
looking froward, eyes open, lips closed and no headwear.
- Section 6 on Form A to be signed by both parents’ and the same recommender.
- Section 7 on Form a to be filled in, signed, and stamped by the same recommender.
- Both parents valid and original ID cards or passports.
- Previous Diplomatic passport if applicable.
- If previous Diplomatic passport has been lost while still valid, an original Police report is
required.
- Minor must be present at our office accompanied by one or both parents.
