This portal is for the submission of Diplomatic passport application. These applications may be submitted online but once the application is vetted and approved, the applicant must visit our office to have the live biometrics captured and even for collection. Minors under the age of 6 years, their presence at the office is not required. All the required documentation submitted must be presented in original format on the day the live biometrics are capture.
Identity Malta Agency may only proceed with applications where the Form A is approved and MFET Permanent Secretary authorises the issuance of a Diplomatic Passport according to Subsidiary Legislation 61.02.
Should it ensue, during the vetting process that there is missing documentation, the application will be put on hold and applicant is informed. Application is valid only for 3 months. If this period elapses, a new application form must be submitted.
A Diplomatic passport is valid for a maximum of five years. In the case of minors under the age of 10 years, the passport is valid for a maximum of 2 years.
